We welcome the Year of the Fire Horse and look forward to providing educational and community-engagement opportunities through our monthly gathering.

This month, on Thursday, July 23rd from 6-7:30 p.m. we’ll be gathering at Meersbrook Farm, located at 2136 Middle Road Ontario.   See map below!  Along with Charlotte, we’ll meet her horses: Eli, a Quarter Horse/Clyde cross and Wolfie, a Thoroughbred.

The special guest this month is Jennie Chicoine, of JMC Equine Massage.  She is a Registered Veterinary Technician, certified equine massage therapist and an avid equestrian.  She writes,  “I do my best to work with you and your horses to develop the best treatment plan to help keep your equine companion in tip-top shape. ” We’ll gather, meet the horses and settle in for an equine massage demonstration! 

Light refreshments are provided.  Please bring a chair (lawn, quad, collapsible) with you as most gatherings are outside or in a barn.  ADMISSION IS FREE!

We welcome recommendations or referrals for the 2026 season for information sessions or demonstrations. We welcome your suggestions — please include details!

From May to September, horse lovers of all ages are welcome to gather at a local farm to meet the resident horses and learn about horses within a supportive community. 

Each month will feature a different guest speaker at a different farm.  The Gathering Herd is a monthly gathering that fosters a “human herd” experience, emphasizing collective learning and connection.
